In case you missed the letter to Josh Reid alleging misuse of resources, here is Ralston’s latest tweet which includes the City of Henderson’s letter and Reid’s response.
What else is happening on this final Friday before school starts again? (Hint: remember to watch for little ones walking to school and bus stop when you head out Monday morning).
The whole situation with Judges Tobiasson and Leavitt, it's got to be such gut-wrenching torture for parents if their daughters get caught up in, and are victimized by, all those scuzzy elements and the vile exploiters who inhabit that vile world.
Whatever anyone's opinion is of these two judges as to their judicial performance, none of that should matter. My heart goes out to them in a major way. I can only imagine the stress and agony they are enduring.
Problem is we can't control children in any meaningful way once they reach 18(and, often, such control, as a practical matter, is lost prior to age 18). Yet their brains are still far from fully formed by that time. The impulsiveness, and extreme risk-taking are very much to the fore, yet their judgment, and ability to think in terms of future consequences, is often quite nil.
I like both of these women, and the incompetents at judicial discipline, I am being kind, keep going after Tobiasson. I have no idea how you people sleep at night. Prayers for both judges.
A lot of holes in the desert, and a lot of problems are buried in those holes. But you gotta do it right. I mean, you gotta have the hole already dug before you show up with a package in the trunk. Otherwise, you're talking about a half-hour to forty-five minutes worth of digging. And who knows who's gonna come along in that time Pretty soon, you gotta dig a few more holes. You could be there all f***in' night.
I dig usually 5 holes every winter and use as needed. I've never had a need for more than 5. If I were Tobiasson or Leavitt, I would have taken care of the problem and sent my daughter to BYU.
Yeah, but you have to find a dry lake bed where the digging is easier. Everywhere else is NV rocky and you need both a pick and a shovel – hard work. That said, I'm old fashioned. My remedy is to pound them into the ground with a lawsuit.
I feel for the moms. Maybe the Clintons are on to something when it comes to managing these issues. From NYC to DC to Little Rock, they efficiently solve problems.

And let's not forget that the actions of a child may not be a reflection of the child's upbringing. There could be a chemical imbalance, a mental health condition such as bi-polar disorder, or borderline personality disorder etc. at play.

11:24 here again. 12:35 suggests other factors that can be at play, and in many cases they are.
Therefore, when some parents beat themselves up over "what did we do so wrong?", often the answer is that there is nothing major the parents did wrong to contribute to these horrors, but instead is factors mentioned by 12:35.
Add to that intense peer pressure and/or a desire to be perceived as a reckless and ultra cool risk taker(which is often so important to children kids in that age range).
Perhaps it is true that "often … there is nothing major the parents did wrong to contribute to these horrors". But at least as often as "nothing major", it results from the type of neglect which results from emphasis on career and status to the detriment of time spent parenting. Not saying this is the case with these two judges; just saying that environment and parenting cannot always be ruled out.
Vegas is NOT any harder than any other local. I was born ans raised here. I have 4 kids, all born and raised here (except one that was born in Oklahoma where I sent to law school) But all were raised here. 3 have gone off to college and 2 have returned to be adults with families here.
Vegas is not any harder than anywhere else. Any family can have problems. Some are brought on themselves, others are not. But your odds of successful parenting are greatly increased by direct involvement, accountability, zero enabling and compulsory honesty.
Don't blame these judges for their family problems, unless you know then personally and well.
I love this town and hate to see anyone blame it for their failings like 423pm.

Looks like Supreme Court bumped the discipline of Amy and Bill Gamage to 5 years from 4 that the Bar recommended, Silver and Hardesty wanted disbarment. I looks like Bill has a bench warrant out on him, it reads: "confidential" Does anyone know why that would be?? https://www.nvbar.org/find-a-lawyer/?usearch=gamage

I call them "barnacle real estate deals" The politician or would be politician attaches themselves to the BIG SHIP real estate deal, then they cash in when the project become profitable. Reid, Ensign, Gwinn,Sisolak etc etc. Nothing "illegal" but makes being a politician profitable doesn't it. Sometimes it doesn't work – like Coyote Springs, or Las Ramblas etc.

Ugh, can you imagine digging a grave in the desert in this heat? I do all my murders during the winter for this very reason.

People have been arrested for less than this…

I realize this comment is an attempt at a joke, but it's still disgusting.

Yeah, that is probably bullshit. But keep on piling on during their time of difficulty.
Vegas is a hard place to raise teenagers
