Does anyone else think that the entire process of calendar calls could be automated? There has to be some program that all parties could enter their availability into that could set each stack automatically. The alternative, sitting for hours while parties hem and haw about their schedules is ridiculous.
Absolutely. There is a online program called https://lettucemeet.com/how-it-works that is an idea in the right direction. It's not perfect, but an easy way to see everyone's availability. Are you running for BOG? I'd vote for you.
How about you meet and discuss your schedules before you come to court? Announce your trial readiness date and boom, you're out the door. For those lawyers that you're behind who are hemming and hawing … shame them. Or better yet, tell the Court you're ready, we've agreed on a date, and request priority to put their date on the record, so those who aren't can languish. There are solutions and they start with the attorneys who are ready for trial.

Can someone please tell which is the best police department is to file an in person report? The last time I went to NW command to file a police report I was treated with brute force trauma for even filing a legitimate police report.
Wow. Things have changed, I guess. I filed a report there about 10 years ago (I had a handgun stolen) and had no issues. Staff at HQ on MLK seem to be relatively friendly to the public. This is from clients that perform visitation exchanges there.
My daughter were harassed and assaulted in a park, and the NW command refused to take the report. I as a lawyer was told that I do not know how to read a police report written by an officer with less education than me. I am a female. Vote Joe Lombardo.

Filing a report problems. Is this person really an attorney or a troll. If you are hostile to METRO they are not user friendly. You can not tell METRO how to do their job.
Gonzalez does not practice in Justice Court. He is out. Hibbetts has never practiced civil in her life; she is out. Between Massey and Goodey, I would lean towards Goodey. She has a diverse practice

Went to school with Jessica. She's good people. She also posted on here, under her own name, inviting folks to contact her. Now, do I think that she's SCOTUS material? Probably not. Better than half the judges currently on the bench? Also probably not. An acceptable outcome and the best choice of the available candidates? Yes.
I worked with Augusta Massey, and she's a dear friend. She is an outstanding person, under any standard. Her work ethic is incredible. She is down to earth. Her experience in the field of candidates seems unmatched. She has my vote hands down.

Was at a lawyer networking event and got to meet Jessica Goodey, candidate for JP 6. I will be voting for her in Justice Court 6. She has the temperament to be a good Justice of the Peace. She has served as an Alternate Municipal Court Judge in City Court so has plenty of background in criminal law although she is a civl practitioner. We need JP's who are not just cookie cutter former DAs and PDs. There are plenty of matters in Justice Court.
