Fond memories of crippling anxiety worried that I would crash and burn on this little pass/fail quiz and put my family's future stability in jeopardy. Fond memories of being certain I screwed the pooch on the second day and contemplating what I would tell my wife when I got notice that I failed. Fond memories of construction inside Cashman while we were taking the exam and having a massive headache from all of the noise. Sure. fond.

Spent the night before in Glitter Gulch getting hammered and buying lap dances. Walked to the exam from Bionions the morning of hungover as hell and aced it.
Quit your whining and suck it up 8:37
Stopped studying on the Friday before the exam. Saw Neil Young and Crazy Horse at the old Joint on Saturday. Exam was at the Plaza, fire alarms were going off during the exam. Passed.

The bar exam today at least has a safety net called 'February'. In my day, they gave the exam once per year. Now THAT was working without a net!
Now get off my lawn.

Any more information on the Geico $68 Million arbitration?
What I heard- admittedly third hand or so- is that GEICO wrongfully denied coverage under a $15k policy in a case involving a young woman with severe brain damage due to a motorcycle accident, and that the award was rendered by Jackie Glass. Maybe the numbers are off, but it would have been a pretty elaborate story to just make up out of whole cloth.

My fond memory of the Bar exam is when the Hacienda imploded. I remember that fondly and it was a fitting end to that torturous journey (although I really liked the Hacienda and its steakhouse.)

My advice is to take care of your mental health this week and in the jobs to come.

I had dinner with guys from my firm's probate department after the first day of the Cal exam, and told them the answer I put for the Trusts question, and they said, "um, nope … that's not right."
Right now it's Judge Barker. From talking to the law clerk he has been there the most frequently this summer. But it's been a rotating cast of Senior Judges.
It's been Barker or Bonaventure most of the time, but don't count on it.

What do ya'll use for email tracking / management for correspondence with clients and opposing counsel?
Looking for a mostly or more automated method. I'm a solo without a big budget to spend on fancy software.

I remember playing the penny slots during a break because I was so bored and trying not to think about the exam. Won like $8! Waitress offered me a drink, but I declined. 0_o
I also remember being flummoxed by a question about family law, so I wrote a lot of nonsense that ended with "in the best interest of the child."

Urban legend. Didn't happen.

Hard to be anonymous when you put this same story on Facebook.
Is department 8 in the Phoenix building? If so who is presiding considering it is vacant? Thanks.
