Question for family law practitioners: Are things really that bad over there or are these stories anomalies?

Judge Doug Smith is incompetent. If you're a Mo, he'll always likely rule for you. What a douche.

@ 2:54. You are a tool. I am a "Mo" as you call it, and I have had Judge Smith rule against me and others in my firm (who are "Mos" and who even know Judge Smith personally from church). Myabe you are … wait for it … just not that good of a lawyer. Ever think about that?

I'm Mormon and I think he may be biased toward the Mormons he knows, or…wait for it…just not that good of a judge. The thing that makes Judge Smith special is not his incompetence or biases – that just gets you membership as an Eighth Judicial District Court Judge – he is particularly arrogant despite his incompetence which is especially grating.

I love the recurring undercurrent of the vast Mormon conspiracy that occasionally surfaces in the comments here or in hushed tones IRL. As a Mormon, I'm just glad that most of the rest of you are too stupid to figure out our great conspiracy to control the bench in Nevada! Gentile weaklings!

And how does Judge Smith handle Mo on Mo litigation? Does he inquire as to whether counsel has a current temple recommend? Whether they are a returned missionary? Went to BYU? Whether counsel is a registered Republican? Enjoys green jello with carrot shavings? At some point one Mo is more Mo than the other Mo.
