It sounds like somebody's paying for cheap internet. Need to get Cox and stop using Earthlink or Viasat.

Cox is not cheap for sure. But Cox is not exactly reliable in my opinion.

Cox has historically been pretty reliable. But with everyone in my neighborhood streaming video or video conferencing all day long, I'm getting the feeling that their capacity is getting stretched to the limit. Either way, wifi is horrendous. I'm glad I sprung for hard-wired ports a while back.

Richard Myers passed away. Just came across the obituary. Doesn't list a date but was published in the RJ 3 days ago.

DA's office is no longer able to charge murder with dui by death. This ruling is outrageous. I hope the Nevada Supreme Court Justices never have a loved one stuck and killed during a dui. You all are some cold pieces of shit.

My son was killed by a drunk driver. Nevada Supreme Court you are shameful. Vote every one in this court out.

It was a no-brainer. Legislature created a penalty for a specific offense. Basic statutory construction.

Definitely believe that a murder charge should be applicable to someone driving under the influence. That being said however, the Nevada Supreme Court made the correct decision based on the established law. This was not a policy decision. If you want it changed it needs to be done through the Legislature

This is no brainer. The decision is wrong. The murder charge should remain.

Gonna also have to vote out the Nevada Supreme Courts of 1984 and 1985, since it's precedents from those courts on which this decision relies. The remedy here is not with the courts, it's with the legislature. And for the victim's family, there will be no new criminal remedy here because, last time I checked, ex post facto laws were still unconstitutional.

So many of these comments are stupid. The supreme court literally cannot allow these charges to stand because the Legislature has established the allowable charges for these offenses. If you disagree with this result, go to the legislature and get them to change the law, but don't complain that the supreme court applied long standing authority to decide the case.

Also, looks like he was indicted on three charges, 2nd degree murder, DUI causing death, and reckless driving. He's still gonna be charged on the DUI causing death charge which is still a category B felony. It's not like the SC let him go scot free.

None of these comments are stupid. People are entitled to their opinion. Calling the parent who lost their child to DUI is insensitive. I agree, the en banc DUI decision is wrong.

Caruso seemed like a decent chap to me. Too trusting of his office manager, obviously. Yet another cautionary tale.

Caruso was out of control. I knew and know Steve and like him personally. But like so many it was an attorney out of control.
