Cases like the fake lawyer one show the disparity between state and federal cases. Steal $90,000 from multiple vulnerable victims through fraud; get 60 days in state court. This is years in federal court.
Drinks-to-go—which is designed to let people get mixed drinks delivered—is a good thing. People are going to make bad decisions when it comes to alchohol. I’d much rather the bad decision is paying $60 for a Chili’s margarita delivery than driving drunk.
Red light cameras are a good thing. Any way we can reduce police interactions with the general public has my approval. If I run a red light with no cops around and I get a ticket, I’ll pay it.
I will support red light cameras IF Metro will enforce car registration laws. Otherwise, it will just be the cars without license plates running the lights.
I can get on board with this. and I fkg HATE the idea of using cameras

Here’s the problem with red light cameras—the ticket will cost you $500, and $50 will go to the State. The rest of the money will go to the private company “monitoring” the system. This is not a good solution. The courts will pay for the judge and the cop to attend the hearing and any other issue that arises, but the benefit will go to a few companies running the system. California did this, and there is no benefit to the community.
Once drivers know which intersections to avoid, there is no benefit to public safety. It’s better if we hire more cops to enforce the laws of the road, which we all know is not being done in our city. Right now, if you don’t run a red, you may get rear-ended.
Sounds like we just need a better red light camera system then?
>Right now, if you don’t run a red, you may get rear-ended.
This is a terrible justification for running red lights. And it’s wrong. I’d rather get read ended while slowing down than speed through an intersection and t-bone another car.
FINALLY. its a DOGE worthy travesty of misspent tax dollars that these wanna be cops drive around enforcing the law in the unincorped county. I have seen it happen myself and I have gotten CoLV tickets dismissed because of it.
I’ve had Adam as opposing counsel. He is wicked smart, well prepared and driven. I enjoyed the challenge of litigating against his talent. I will be cheering for him on this one.
Happy Opening Day to those who celebrate.
GO DODGERS!
FTG.

and the Chicago White Sox have been officially eliminated from the Playoffs
Eliminated before the first pitch of the season. It’s tough to decide who is the more loathsome MLB owner, Jerry Reinsdorf or John Fisher.
No. FJF
The Cubs are entering Opening Day with 2 losses. A very Cubs thing to do.
Hahahaha – good one
Baseball is boring

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

I believe the charge was UPL not theft. They get your argument but I don’t think that part was charged.
UPL was one of the original 9 charges.
Maybe these are unpopular opinions:
