"'These people need answers and are looking for closure and the only way we can get closure is by filing lawsuits and getting information,' Romanucci said."

Yeah, that's what they all want, clo$ure.

Let everyone have their day in court. If the end result is there will be tighter security at future events and local hotels/casinos have better procedures for contacting law enforcement when something like this happens again, then this will be better for our local community, overall.

Tighter security was the cause of injury, whether the plaintiffs outright say it or not. You want to heavily screen everyone who enters a venue? You're looking at single point of entry, just as with airports. The problem with single POE is that in a mass egress, there's not enough capacity. Thus, you have multiple exit routes, which aren't feasible in an outdoor venue in which you'd like to restrict access. Indoor venue? Sure, you might have auto-locking doors to allow egress but not ingress. But outdoor? Get serious.

Nothing's going to come of this, except the clear demonstration to all the world of the many PI attorneys who don't know what the hell they're doing when it comes to a dead tortfeasor. See, e.g. P-17-093191-E.

There's a hearing tomorrow in P-17-093191-E and I bet not a single carpetbagger PI attorney knows about it.

You are absolutely right. Tighter security. More restrictive access to venues has the concomitant effect of making it harder to get out of venues. Remember this was alleged to be someone with a gun in the venue. Can you imagine the hue and cry if there were multiple points of egress and someone got into the venue with a gun? You cant have it both ways.

The venue's need better exit's. At the MGM, the exit is choked off so that you must walk back into the casino. I attended a concert and it was distressing to try and leave. Now imagine a panic. Or wait, there was one at the Route 91 concert.

This will be terrible for our community. And every attorney they have quoted is a carpet bagger. Every f***ing one of them.

As giant FU to the state bar, someone should organize a substance abuse CLE that is immediately followed by a pub crawl…

So does anyone recognize the attorney that filed all of the lawsuits today?

ZERO local recognition. Just some Chicago attorney who bought himself the cover of the Chicago edition of Attorney at Law Magazine.
