The real blame goes to the unions, especially the Culinary Union. They saw some crumbs for themselves and didn't give two shits about the cost to everyone else.
Also the legislature Democrats, who could be bought off by allowing prevailing wage on monorails and paid family & medical leave for companies of 50+ employees that want tax abatements to move here. These bills (SB429 and SB299) were vetoed by Sheriff Joe, but put back into SB1 as amendments. Ol' Joe said that they'd be too burdensome for businesses that want to develop monorails here, or move here. Let's see what he thinks now, or if that was just more BS.
You'd think a city with a million residents plus countless more visitors could come up with a functioning public transportation system, at least something to get people from population centers to the strip. Instead we get Tesla tunnels and the worst team in baseball.

This State is a lost cause. Constantly looking for an out.
Hello legislators! You may be sad thinking you've run out of sports billionaires to give Nevada's money to but you have not – there is still the NBA! Please aggressively look to hand some rich NBA owner a bunch of public money. Lord knows there are no needs for it otherwise, as Nevada is on the top of every list that matters. Signed, all Nevadans.
Also, it needs to be a team that couldn't make a basket with both hands and a stepladder. That's another requirement.

I refuse to go to a stadium that has 65,000 seats and 2500 parking spaces. Obviously someone is making money off of this travesty at the expense of the health and safety of local Las Vegans. No one should have to walk 2 miles to get to a stadium in 117 degree heat.
I went to a sold out Concert at Allegiant Stadium last year. We parked less than a half mile away in the industrial/commercial area. We paid as I recall, $50 for parking in the lot there. It was much less of a hassle then I expected.
I agree that parking is a major concern and should have been addressed for patron convenience years ago. But, its not the end of the world.
I have been to a few games and a concert or two. It was not as difficult as I anticipated. It was easier than parking in the college towns I have been to (Stanford, LA, Tempe, Charolottesville). I think I have paid $30-40 for parking. Alternatively I have dropped off (and been dropped off) without much difficulty. Compare this to going to dodgers stadium with all that parking. Hands down Allegiant is more convenient.
Those PSL's are a total scam. I am surprised how many of my friends fell for it. Genius marketing though. You get to sell the same seat to the same person multiple times!
Because I am way too bored, I put 12:24's comment in ChatGPTAI thing and asked for a rewrite, results: I've attended a couple of games and a few concerts, and surprisingly, it wasn't as challenging as I expected. In fact, it was much simpler compared to parking situations in various college towns I've visited, such as Stanford, LA, Tempe, and Charlottesville. Typically, I've paid around $30-40 for parking, although alternatively, I've also managed to easily drop off or get dropped off without much hassle. When comparing this experience to going to Dodger Stadium with its extensive parking arrangements, there's no doubt that Allegiant offers a significantly more convenient option.

Mel Close passed away on June 8th. He was a Speaker of the Assembly and worked at the US Attorney General's office, he continued his legal career in private practice beginning with partners Jim Bilbray and Jerry Kaufman. They eventually merged with Cliff Jones and Herb Jones, creating Jones, Jones, Bell, LeBaron, Close, Bilbray & Kaufman which eventually became Jones Vargas.
Giving public money to the worst owner in baseball. Our politicians never learn.
Even worse, they know better but do it anyway

You never know, though! Someday this could look like a bargain.

Need this same energy for the tens of billions being laundered through Ukraine
Wouldn't THAT be a thing?

My friend, I wish I could casually state I paid $50 for parking like it's a good deal. Damn! I must be in the wrong area of law.
Won't somebody please think of the children?
1128 here.
There were 6 of us in the car. $17 a couple. It worked out.

My PSL parking at Allegiant is $100 per game. Granted that give you access for the tailgating and stuff too.
Whats that scene like?

Nice man
This seems like a state where the Supreme Court upholding the Indian Child Welfare Act is important: https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/22pdf/21-376_7l48.pdf
