Seems totally insane to say that pot legalization was a mistake but I appreciate someone going out on a limb to make the argument.

The legalization of pot has not been a good thing. I smell it everywhere-the advocates said that would not happen. I smell it at traffic stops from the car next to me-the advocates said that is against the law and would not happen. The pot today smells like a skunk. They have not emphasized that you can not smoke or indulge and drive. Period. Instead the pot advocates say there is no scientific level of impairment. Oh c’mon. If you live in an apartment or condo and your neighbor smokes day and night you are stuck with the stench. Nothing anyone will do about it not the complex, HOA or law enforcement. I can avoid places that allow cigarette smoking but what do you do with pot everywhere. I worry if I get stopped that the police believe I am impaired
because I reek of the stuff leaving a concert venue. Pot lounges are a really bad idea and pot lounges in casinos are a very very bad idea.

Right? Agree 1000%. I hate how fuel exhaust smells too. Ban cars and construction equipment because they offended sense of smell please. This is why I don’t leave the house anymore, you know?

I was never against legalization but I will say since it’s become legal pot smokers are even less considerate than cigarette smokers. Tobacco has become taboo but now people have no problem smoking weed around kids.

I pray that everyone defending the current state of affairs gets a bong-toting, pot enthusiast neighbor like I recently moved away from. He smoked in his backyard like it was his job, at all hours, and it always smelled like pot in our corner of the neighborhood. Dog walks, kid parties, just trying to relax with the family etc. – marijuana smell. HOA wouldn’t do anything because it is legal and he was smoking on his own property.

If only there was a body of law about odors and smoking prior to the 2017 when recreational marijuana became legal

We can create social pressure without making it illegal. I don’t smoke. I don’t enjoy smelling it. I do worry about people smoking around kids and driving impaired.

Prohibition is a pretty terrible solution.

That Guinasso guy really hates pot … and loves bad takes. It’s actually pretty hilarious.

Every Guinasso take is a bad take. Some of his lawsuits are just so absurd and frivolous. It’s not even creative novel, it’s like there’s a reason nobody has brought something this stupid before bad.

A compelling (until you realize the data is specious) argument.

Yeah, like the claim that ER visits have increased more than 1000%
Look at the data and it increased from like, 3 per 10,000 visits to 6.5 per 10,000 visits.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

So the “Zero Fatalities” data that he cites shows fatalities and fatal crashes going down in 2023. If pot is blamed for causing it to go up, clearly pot should get credit for making it go down. https://zerofatalitiesnv.com/app/uploads/2024/11/NDOT_Nevada-Crash-Facts-2025_Summer_v4.pdf

And assigning any sort of causation solely to MJ is a stretch. I’m more worried about the people watching TikTok vids on their phone while driving.

Agree, she stands up to the entrenched machine and has been doing so for her entire career. She will be on the right side of history. You privileged people who seek to destroy her are evil. Shame on you. The reasons for your hatred of her are transparent.

So when I showed up in front of her and she literally didn’t know what was going on, 3 separate times, any criticism of that is racist?

“First Assistant United States Attorney Sigal Chattah”?? Is that how they are trying to keep her in there? She’s not the U.S. Attorney, she’s first assistant? And there is no U.S. Attorney above her in the office, so she remains effectively in charge?
