Stung in the testicles. Just a normal day for those of us who practice in front of Judge Kishner.

She delights in making things much more difficult and time-consuming than they need to be.

Ouch! I’d be less surprised if this happened at a Siegel or something, but the Venetian?

I’ll be honest, my first reaction to seeing a local condo association filing a lawsuit against Las Vegas Grand Prix was “Who doesn’t like Go-Karts?”

I hope that Professor Peer sues UNLV for allowing this disruption by these dumb kids.

While I support a frees speech right to protest, this right does not allow silencing, suppression of views, or beliefs expressed by others. Should have cuffed the protestors who participated in the disruption, or at a minimum moved them to outside the building.

Telles is waiving his right to search German’s devices. And so Draskovich gets his parachute to get out of this case. “Last week, Draskovich said Telles was acting against his wishes when he indicated in court that he wants to continue with the trial without reviewing German’s devices. Draskovich has said he still wants the devices searched, even though the information may not be handed over to attorneys for months.. . . . Draskovich has previously indicated that if Telles decides to go forward with a trial this month, then he wants District Judge Michelle Leavitt to question Telles about the decision.”

The story quotes Telles as saying “I’m ready for trial so I can go home to my family.” The man has balls of steel. He must know the DA is not ready and so he thinks he can gain a strategic advantage by going to trial now.

Criminal practitioners, is it also advantageous to go to trial now since Telles will essentially get a free spin at the wheel? (i.e. any guilty verdict will be reversed due to the trial going forward with the evidence on German’s phone).

You cannot waive your claims to evidence and then claim that it was error to allow you to waive. I think Bob has a client control issue.

When this case is set for trial, do you think the DA drops the charges, or does he risk the embarrassment of an acquittal?

Wow he’s delusional if he thinks he’s going home. Video plus DNA I’m thinking one or two hours of deliberation max, counsel better not leave the building.

How TF is this guy out ROR? If these charges are ROR worthy, then what does it take to actually lock up a child predator?

If you think that’s bad you must not be a family law attorney. We’ve got judges giving custody of children to sex offenders who raped kids.

You people amaze me that you are shocked by the marshal story and the teen. There are those of us who have been shouting for years about family court and nothing is done. Once again, if only you knew. And no I will not again list specifics as I’m tired of it. Reported to OBC by the way and they did nothing.

Is the allegation that the Marshall found this girl in family court? Or while performing his official duties? Or is this just a scumbag dude preying on underage girls who also happens to be a marshall?

Read the article. This Marshall was formerly a Juvenile PO and started as a part time youth and family assistant. There does not seem to be any allegations that he found this young lady through the court system.

6:30 here. My comment was sarcasm. I’m not shocked and I 100% agree with your sentiments. OBC is too worried about “civility” to actually do anything about the unethical cesspool that is family court.
