I often think about how vulnerable to violence everyone at the RJC is, in spite of the security and marshals. If someone shows up with a gun, nobody is stopping them. If someone wants to fight in the halls there often isn’t anyone to stop them. Do we need marshals in the halls full time on every floor?
How does the gun get past security? The shootout at the Federal Courthouse makes me believe if someone had a gun that they are not getting off of the first floor even at RJC
Prosecutors and and defense attorneys have been riding the elevators with hardened criminals for decades and we are all supposed to think it is normal.

Aaaaaand . . . just like that, Judge Ballou’s tits go viral.
Probate expose. Ironically Rob Telles was exposing how insiders were profiting from opening estates and selling homes where there were no probate proceedings or easily ascertainable heirs. He was bringing this to the attention of Gary German at the RJ but German instead focused on him and his internal problems at his office. This caused Telles to lose his election resulting in him wearing a disguise, stalking German and eventually stabbing him to death.
Suspect that Telles’s ranting about the private administrators was nothing more than an attempt to get RJ reporter Gary German’s focus off him and other issues. A mere distraction. Eventually German would have produced the stories that are running now. Telle’s hands were not clean but he was trying to expose the stuff.
When you file an initial petition you can ask the court to allow you administer the estate under the independent administration act. This allows you as the appointed administer to take a number of actions without court approval, such as selling real estate. Some attorneys do this all the time, some think it is a bad idea as your client looses the protection that court orders provide to the administrator. I think it depends on the case. If someone is the only child and heir, probably not a big deal. In cases like the ones in the articles, it is absolutely being used for corrupt purposes.

Re Wynn, hope we all don’t fall prey to presentism. What if 30 years from now shaking hands is considered assault and they find you did it today. Not saying it was right by todays standards but it is a no win to go back and apply standards because EVERY generation would fail by definition if we advance our culture.
You’re missing the point. Don’t believe me if you wish, and I’m not saying it is right, I’m saying a smack on the ass of a waitress was almost as common in the early 70s as handshakes are now. I was there. Did I like it? No I had 2 female relatives who worked in casinos. I’m just saying going backwards has real problems past say 25 years.
Weird comment. Sexual harassment and assault has never been okay. Decent people did not smack waitresses on the ass in the 70s and they didn’t sexually harass their staff. It has always been assholes who behave that way and it is always the right time for justice. Marital rape was not even considered a crime in all 50 states until the 1990s. That doesn’t mean that those rapists suffer from presentism. It means they were rapists.
Omg I wish I had time to explain. You are viewing it from a moral or present viewpoint. Assume first ape like men raped but spared their relatives. They could’ve been most moral on the planet AT THAT TIME. It is a logical certainty by definition that if societies advance by definition the past will look not advanced. There is something you are doing today that will be taboo in 25 years.
OMG We get it – It was okay in the past because they were only a “little” rapey at the time and enough people excused it that 25 years later we should just accept it as “the best of the worst.”
I would hope we would all agree that ass-slapping, or involuntary touching of any kind has always been wrong. At the same time, there are comments, remarks, jokes, etc. that I would have made without a second thought in the 80’s-90’s that would be completely unacceptable today. Social mores change. Times change. Change with them. Doesn’t mean you were a bad person back then.

I feel like you missed an opportunity for tit puns, something with a titmouse maybe, or tittersweet?
Speaking as 9:43, I saw an opportunity for a damn fine pun, and I took it. I will not apologize for that, especially when the word being played on was used by Her Honor.
I genuinely pity people who are strangely compelled to waste their entire life actively searching for and seeking out trivial things about which they can pretend to be offended. Seems like such a waste of mental energy: twisting and torturing every funny statement into a cause for fake outrage.
Sure, real sexism isn’t trivial. But the bullshit that the snowflakes call sexism isn’t sexism. Quit being so fucking sensitive. Learn what the word means.
First.
Can we keep talking about tits, today?
Also, bring on the shrooms.
Thought I got thwacked.
I’m pro-tits and I approved this message.
I prefer the expression, “huge tracts of land.”
Just reference huge blackacres…

Was there really a question?
The ONLY thing to ever have been jealous of Ed for.
I was totally good with the Probate expose last week. This article on independent administration I think gets it wrong. https://www.reviewjournal.com/investigations/nevada-law-allows-probate-house-sales-with-less-oversight-2990366/?utm_campaign=widget&utm_medium=topnews&utm_source=homepage&utm_term=Nevada%20law%20allows%20probate%20house%20sales%20with%20less%20oversight

(1) Jeff German (2) Telles himself was feeling homes to his favored realtors and was trying to snuff out competition.

Jeff German.
Any chance it was self defense?
I think this is a more condensed version to keep it easy for the average reader.
Well except the above regards the independent administration act which is different than private administrators swooping in on unsuspecting people
Care to explain the difference for us mere lay folk? The knowledge is greatly appreciated.

I for one cannot wait until a “handshake” and “sexual assault” are considered the same thing, be it 30, 40 or 400 years from now.

Awww, Come on. Tit’ll be ok. Do you need a titssue?

Yes, yes. We definitely get tit already. But you are very BRA-ve to keep it in our minds.
Hahaha I hope you are being sarcastic as that is not at all what I posted. In any case, have a great evening. I’m outta here.
Don’t try to justify what cannot be justified.
Bravo. I cannot imagine my father smacking a waitress.

Oh come on. Law.dawg isn’t here to titillate their readers.
Just in case you thought sexism had been eliminated among attorneys read the above comments.
Found the recent boyd grad.
Pics or it didn’t happen

Pity me. I spent 2 hours yesterday morning searching for the AI generated Swift videos on Twitter.
You’d be better of on Reddit or Discord. So says my friend anyway.
Gee I bet you are male.
Sexism is not trivial Buddy.
